Limerick City Hack - Aaron Lawless

This lecture and workshop were provided to be an inquiry into the Urban environment that is Limerick City for 2nd year Product Design Students.

To encourage the Use of the city as a site specific point of research, in which to rethink social interaction, aesthetics and the usefulness of resources. Tweaking surroundings and demonstrating real-world examples of a re-humanised environment.

The idea of this project was to outline the use value of the products being designed, using the city to find everyday problems or inconveniences and using design as a lifestyle problem solver. This was not intended to be a criticism of the city, instead a search for site specific innovations. These Designs did not have to conform any singular line of production, demographic or economic gain.
